Isse with dateformat in sap ui5 smart table

Hi Experts,

I am using the smart table to get the data from the backend and display it in the table but the issue is when i click on download(which comes with smart table) date is coming as date+timestamp in excel sheet and i want to display as mmm dd,yyyy.

I managed to do it in the view but not sure how to we do it in the excel sheet as the server is generating the excel.

Please find the attached screenshot and can someone help to resolve this issue ?
