Dear Gurus,

We have a requiremnt that the Neteweaver portal should be accessible from internet and intranet both.

now internal URL is :sthpmpsrcs.companyname-iob.local

internet URL : portal.companyname.edu.com

we are utilizing bluecoat as the reverse proxy and have proper FQDN.

we discoverd that if we put internal URL in WAS and ITS setttings while making system in portal, internal portal works fine, but internet portal dont work. if we put internet URL in these settings, the behaviour reverse.

Kindly guide us if we need to keep both URL's as same? will it help?

is there any other thing to take care which we are missing...

The content to be displayed right know are transaction iviews. Portal configured for internal URL, the transactions dont display when accessed by internet URL and vice versa.

Requesting a quick reply please

Ankur Agarwal.

I have one more question, Our bluecoat reverse proxy is based on https and out inside SAP systems on http. Do we need to have https configuration for SAP systems. I know it is recommended but is it indispensible. In current situations, i am not able to see my ESS pictures on portal, however they are coming fine on overview page. actually on leave, directory....screens, they are being called by http URL?

any guesses?
