New to CUP & ERM 5.3...

Hello all,

We have had RAR & SPM 5.3 succesfully implemented in Production for some time now. We are ready to move on to CUP & ERM and trying to see if we can get these 2 tools to work for us (starting in a sandbox environment of course).

We feel we have all the configuration guides, how-to's, post-install guides, etc. but CUP & ERM are very new to us and quite overwhelming.

So I have a few broad questions and was hoping someone here might be able to provide some insight (My apologies in advance for grouping a list of questions within one post):

1) Does CUP need ERM to function properly? (i.e. can we implement and fully use CUP without implementing ERM?)

2) What are some of the ways in which CUP and ERM "work together" ?

3) Can we install/configure/implement ERM in such a way that we do not use it for our role creation/role maintenance but can still take advantage of some of the reporting capabilities, such as the Transaction Usage Report in the Informer tab?

4) Per the Release Notes for ERM5.3, PFCG now u201Cintegratesu201D with PFCG in the backend. So where is the role actually stored? (i.e. frontend tables or backend tables or both?)

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
