Hello - Does anyone know if SAP has limitations on the number of pages or the size of a spool request that can be generated and downloaded to MS Excel or MS word? We currently have extracts that run against tables BKPF and BSEG which generate 800 - 1000 page documents.
I know the limitation can be based on the actual size of the request as well as the resources available for the system memory, but if anyone has any general information or benchmarks that would be great. Thank you very much. - Will S.
hi will,
I never found that SAP has limitation on its spool request. But by default, SAP only show you the first 10 pages of your spool request.
I think the only limitation is that every user which associate with work process has limit on its memory and buffer. So you might experienced some short dump if your spool request exceed this limit.
Check your SAP parameter for memory and buffer setting.

Hi,
SAP has a limit to 10 Pages, we can modify at screen "output controller: list of spool requests" (SP01>execute with your selection), than menu goto> Display requests --> settings (shot CtrlShiftF10) we can see option to increase the page count.
As said above change depends on memories.

TemSe cannot administer objects that require more than two gigabytes of storage space, regardless of whether the objects are stored in the database or in the file system. Spool requests of a size greater than two gigabytes must therefore be split into several smaller requests.
