Can Not able to delete Credit Memo Request

Hello All,

I have created credit memo request with reference to Invoice and then i have created credit memo with reference to credit memo request.

Now I have to delete all. So I have canceled the credit memo and then I want to delete the credit memo request when I try to delete it gives me message saying there are subsequent document exist ??

Can any one tell me how can I delete my credit memo request?

Hi,

I had faced the same kind of problem ine of my projects. But eventually came to understand that we cannot delete the Credit Memo Request as there would be subsequent documents created. Also if we assign a reason for rejection also at the line item level, still the Credit Memo request will appear in the open Sales Order (VA05) List.

As this is a order related billing scenario there will not be any implications as far as Stock getting blocked to a Credit Memo Request. So there is no need for Deleting the Credit Memo Request.

Hi,

u have subsequent document for that. the subsequent document are cancelled not deleted. thats why system saying message as subsequent document existing. so in VA02 u can cancel it by giving cancellation reason, u cannot delete it.

Hello,

As you have said that you have cancelled the credit memo using VF11, the system should allow you to delete the credit memo request using VA02. Check the status of the credit memo request in VA02 --> Credit memo --> Environment --> Status overview. Is it showing as being processed ?

If it is being processed and still the system is not allowing to delete the credit memo request, try to reject it using a Reason for rejection. Please let us know the outcome.

As you have subsequent documents that is the reason you are not able to delete the sales order. Now to delete the credit memo request sales document , Put a Reason for Rejection in the sales order and then the document will be closed.
