Error thrown in the report along with data.. Issue with Time Reference Char

Hi All,

I have defined a Cube(ZIC_01) in BI7. It has got Time characteristics 0CALDAY,0CALMONTH,0CALWEEK,0CALYEAR.

This Cube has got Transformations defined from 3 sources

0IC_C03 - It has got Time Char's 0CALDAY,0CALMONTH,0CALWEEK,0CALYEAR.

0PUR_C01 - It has got Time Char's 0CALDAY,0CALMONTH,0CALWEEK,0CALYEAR.

I see that in the transformations from the source to target for the above 2 cubes... only 0CALday is mapped and I dont's see rest of the time char's in target for mapping from the source..

Is this kind of defining transformation right?

This never caused me a problem..Data is loaded successfully and the report is also fine on this data.

Now When I add the third transformation from the DSO (ZDSO_XXX) to the Target Cube and then execute the DTP, the data is loaded successfully and i get data into the report.

(This DSO has got only 0calday.and mapped only calday from DSO to the target. Let me know If I need to do any change here in defining time characteristics).

But, I see the following error at the report level.

The Validity Interval has the inital value as lowerlimit.

Diagnosis

The initial value has been found as the lower limit of a validity area. This can lead to performance problems and cause queries to terminate, because potentially, non-cumulatives can be reconstructed at any point within the validity interval.

This error occurs if data is loaded to a non-cumulative cube, where the time-reference characteristic is intial (blank).

This error message can also appear when the non-cumulative cube is completely empty.

System Response

Procedure

Check the data in the InfoCube and if there is a request containing data records where the time-reference characteristic is initial (blank), delete this request and reload the request data, with the appropriate time, into the InfoCube.

Please let me know If I need to do any changes in the DS0 or in the target cube...

Appreciate your Help in advance..

Regards,

Harika
