Change of Equipment category

Dear Experts,

We have created an equipment with category ' M' , now we want to change the equipment category . Is it possible to change the equipment category?

    hi

    i think it is possible ,in the equipment change mode from the menu Edit>Change equipment category .but you can only change the equipment cateogy for which the reference category are same

      I don't understand the issue of the reference category working, why using the same reference category when you want to change the same reference category to a different one, otherwise there will be no debt if the system was to be able to change to a different category

    It is not possible because the new equipment category refers to a different equipment reference category from the old one. The change is not allowed, as it would lead to a different processing flow in the master record.

    Change is not possible. you have to delete and create a new one...

    Have u created equipments with that category M? If that so... create a new one

    Its not possible the field will be disable mode.
