Hi ALL,
We have a requirement from Business where there is a need to change the calculation type from quantity to percentage for a discount condition . This should be doen only for one pricing procedure where as this discount condition is currently used by different pricing procedures for different countries . We don't want to create a new condition , and need to change this one .
Is there any way we can change the calculation type for this condition type only for specific country ?, Shall we use concept of alternative calculation type here ? Kindly advise .
Why don't you want to create another condition type? If you want to use the master data from the existing condition records you can simply use this as a reference condition type. It would be much simpler and easier if you create a new condition type - this would be the best option.
Thanks

Hi Phil,
Thanks for your inputs .
User has asked us to use an existing condition from the same access sequence that is using % as the calculation type . We have found that condition but the issue is that condition is already present in our pricing procedure . Is there any was I can reuse the same just to overcome the calculation type problem ?, Please advise .
Hi Alex
You can allow modification the calculation type of the pricing condition type (check screenshot from condition type configuration element) but I would create a new condition type based on that condition (reference condition fields) and assign a different calculation type. You won't be able to use the same condition type with 2 different calculation types in the same pricing procedure. SAP does not work that way.
Check the configuration screenshot I provided and hopefully this assists.
Thanks
