Business Partner number not assigned to ORG unit

hello colleagues,

I cretaed an Org Unit at the highest level, i have assigned Basic data, address data and i have assigned function and attribute, but when i save the Org unit,I am not getting the BP number,

can anyone tell me what could be reaosn for this, but normally whenever a new org unit is created

a BP has to be assigned to it right

please help me with this problem

Never mind...I was missing the flag HR Integration = ON.

Hi Chandu,

To create a bp number & relationship for org unit follow the below process

==> SPRO

==> Customer Relationship Management

==> Master data

==> Business Partner

==> Integration Business Partner-Organization Management

==> Create Business Partner Initially

Click on Organisational Unit(s) and provide the input as 'ID' of the ORG and Execute

Click on the line and right click and select 'Start Repair'

If Bp is already existing, u wnat to build only relation ship follow the below process.

==> Use Tcode SE37

==> Use functional module as 'HR_OBJECTBUPA_INSERT' and Execute

==> Click on the value button and enter OT as 'O', OBJID as ID of the org BUPAGUID as

Businesspartner GUID and Execute

i have followed the first part of your reply, and i got an error message for Basic data and address Data

but i have maintained both even then error message is showing up

Hi Chandu,

When basic data and address data is showing red, its an indication of BP number not being generated.

You are on right track. Now sellect that line and click on the last icon "Start Repair".

After you do that you will get various reasons fopr BP number not getting generated. You will have to resolve these reasons one by one and keep on repairing till BP number generates.

I did exactly the same, but no results boht basic data and Address has error message symbol,

in address i have maintained street, house number, city,postal code, country region & telephone number,

on basic data execpt Organization unit description, there is nothing much to enter,

I am lost here.

any further inputs?

Hi Chandu,

Check for the SAP Note:550055

Also check if your settings have been maintained appropriately for the same.

Also check in Address Tab weather you you have meinatained the Address Subtype as "Main Address" and you have maintained all the mandatory details like Postal Code and country and State also Ensure you have maintained the Tel No for the same too and chk weather the Error on the Address diminishes,Also check for the Validity Periods are in range or not??

Hi Chandu,

For Basic Data the Main feilds mandatory for maintainance is Organizational Unit name details

also Expand the Period Tab and check if the Periods have been maintained appropriately maintained

else no other details are required for the same,

Try Creating a new Organizational Details and check if the same error persists???

Also check for the Number range of the Oragnizational settings and are done appropriately or not??
