hi,
In our SAP setup, system time zone of SAP server is not in synch with time zone of SAP server. I have searched on internet and found that, I have to run STZAC transaction to fix this. Before running STZAC transaction I need answers for following questions.
1. Will this conflict with my current setting?
2. Will it affect my already existing data?
Thanks,
Krishna
Hi Krishna,
Answer to your question is as follows:
1. Will this conflict with my current setting? : Yes. Your OS time and SAP system time must be in sync otherwise you will get frequent runtime errors. So first you need to adjust OS time settings and OS timezone and than system restart. later you can change setting in STZAC for default time zone and user specific time zone. One more thing need to remember is that STZAC settings are client dependent so you need to set it for every client individually.
2. Will it affect my already existing data? : No. it will not affect any existing system data.
Please let me know if this was helpful.
Thanks,
Premlesh

Also Krshna,
SAP Picks up it's time from os level, please ensure your os has
accurate time. Then execute transaction stzac to adjust sap
system time zone. You can use stzbc to ensure you time zones &
rules are correct. See note 198411 for current information on
time zones.
Please let me know if it helps
