SAP BW CO Authorizations

A long time ago we implemented the standard BW CO cost centre Authorization using DSO's 0CCA_O01, 0CCA_O02 and 0CCA_O03.

These automatically generate an analysis authorization for each users for the cost centres they are allowed to report on.

However I'm picking this up and trying to understand the mechanism of how these analysis authorisations are created.

The user gets the relevant authorisation for 0COSTCENTER, 0CO_AREA, 0CO_MST_AR etc.

How does it know which info-objects to generate the authorisation for? I was thinking I'd like to restrict this authorisation to certain cubes.

Now in the help it talks about creating authorization object ZZZ_CCA via RSSM. But we don't use RSSM as this is obsolete etc. We use RSECADMIN. But it also states about this step:

The following prerequisites are not relevant if you are using the authorization concept that is available as of SAP NetWeaver 2004s.

So if this step isn't relevant how does it know the template to use to build the Cost Centre Analysis Authorisation? Or is that hard coded into the generation program?

Hi, for background information on the different authorization concepts consult:

Use the decision tree for analyzing authorization issues and which InfoObjects are relevant for your used Content:
