CHaRM-Is there any background job schedule to Transport

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I have configured Change Request Management(CHaRM) in Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1.

Here is a scenario, after Tester successful test and change actions to "u201CConfirm Successful Testu201D from Actions. Then Change Manager change the status to "Release for Production" from Actions. Now the status change "Authorize to Import" and IT Operator / Basis Administrator "Import Correction to Production System" from Actions. And it's working fine.

Question is, Instead of IT Operator / Basis Administrator select "Import Correction to Production System" from Actions, is there any background job can schedule which will do the same work as IT Operator / Basis Administrator perform after CHANGE MANAGER's approval.

Solution Manager found program /TMWFLOW/SCMA_QUEUE_IMPORT, /TMWFLOW/SCMA_BTCH_SYNC_TEST, /TMWFLOW/SCMA_TRORDER_IMPORT but no use.

I will appreciate help.

Thanks

RS

Hi,

Your question leads to "MASS" Change of status of your Change Documents. To be more clear, if you say "Import Correction to Production System", it performs two actions

1. The actual import into production

2. Change the action of the Change Document to "Production" and additionally it may change the status of Change Request (if there is any status to be changed).

There is no automatic way of scheduling this. It has to be done manually.

Hope this answers your question.

Feel free to revert back.

Hi Ragu,

Thanks for your swift response. After research I found that there is a program CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT can schedule on background which not only import transport request into production but also changed the status of document from "Authorize to Import" to "Production".

I have not tested yet, but I found from help.sap.com.

Thanks

Hi,

The report CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT is to change the status only, this is when the message is struck in some status. You cannot be sure if this report would change status all the time.

It cannot schedule the job to import.

Check my reply in this thread.

Hope this answers your question.

Feel free to revert back.

Hi Ragu,

Thanks again for your quick response. You are right. The program changed the status of change document. As my initial question, is there anyway either through task calendar or any other program can use to schedule in background.

God bless knowledge you have.

Thanks

Hi Ragu,

I am taking back my comment earlier. This morning when I tested CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT with entering Transaction Number (single or multiple does not matter) whose status was "Authorize to Import" and select radio button "Set Next Status Value" and it's really works. Even when I went to calendar, I can see under "Daily Overview" "Import Transport Request (Online)".

Thanks for all your effort and time to response this thread.

Hi,

I really still doubt, that your import has happened!! Did you check if the transport is imported into Target System? CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT is a CRM report which could relate to status change. Check again if it has imported your request.

Feel free to revert back.

Hi Ragu,

Yes, I checked the transport is in QA and PROD.

Still I have one more question on that report CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT.

When I schedule in background, it's executing all request (transaction number), I am looking where I can put only process if the status "Authorize to Import". I will appreciate.

Thanks

Hi,

If you are sure about this report then you need to create a variant having status "Authorized for Import". While scheduling the report you can mention the variant name.

This should solve your problem.

Hi Ragu,

Thanks again. But there is no place to selection status "Authorize to Import". That's why my question is "Anybody use to schedule this job to run in background to import into production".

Thanks

Hi,

If you are using CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT and you have defined a user status Authorize to Import, It will be available in your selection criteria. That's how it works, a user status for a document.

Hope this helps.

Feel free to revert back.

Hi Ragu,

Thatu2019s the problem I am struggling on that report. There is no selection option for Status. Otherwise I could easily schedule background with variant of status user status Authorize to Import, or any other status which system will recognize only those transaction number to import and change status NOT all transactions.

Please let me know, if any other way can achieve the same.

Thanks

Hi

maybe this will solve your problem:

First enter a transaction type like "SDHF"

After that you will see your user status values via F4 help of parameter "status".

Andy
