GST (India) Customisation for STO for imported Material

Hi All,

We are into trading goods business. 99% imported goods. We wont configure the TAXINN or TAXINJ, since there is no excise duty for our material. VAT/CST/Cess applicable.

My question for STOs (from one storage location another storage location in the same plant) between the state, what are customisation required in SAP, have consider the base price as material cost its in USD for IGST.

From Imported goods from outside of India, you should not be liable to pay IGST for intra company stock transfer!!

Still there are some doubts on GST Implementation.

Please wait till final decision from Govt of India.

    Thanks & regards,

Have you discussed with your client and understood what their requirement is? Before you start any process in SAP, you should ensure that there is no gap as for as statutory regulations are concerned. You have to explain how your client are going to address excise and tax. Depending upon this, you can start configuring.

    Dear Kumar,

During Import instead of CVD you have to pay IGST. I think presently your organisation is not takng credit of CVD and might be transferring or inventorised tio stock.

Post GST, The IGST can be taken credit.

And when your selling the goods within state you have to charge SGST and CGST (Tax procedure need to be changed).

When your selling to other state customer you have to charge IGST.

When STO within state no GST applicable.

When STO to other state IGST is applicable.

The Input IGST (during import) can be taken set off with IGST, CGST and SGST (in the same sequnce i.e., first IGST balance CGST then SGST).

    Thanks,

    Prasad
