Hi,
we plan to use one TREX 7.0 instance to provide search capabilities to the following SAP apps:
- CRM Internet Sales WebShops (CRM 5.0)
- CRM Business Partner Search (CRM 5.0)
- SRM Case Management for Public Sector (SRM 6.0)
- Knowledge Management for indexing documents
The SAP Note "1115035 - TREX 6.1/7.00/7.10: Use same TREX for different applications" describes restrictions regarding using TREX for different apps but the information there is very undetailed. The following questions now arrived:
- Do we need to activate any TREX extension for our apps listed above? If yes can they be activated locally, means only for the certain indexes?
- How to find out if our applications use the Queserver? Is it something that the application controls itself or can it be configured on TREX server side?
Any expreience or info that could help us to clarify these questions is highly welcome!
