BOE XI 3.1 Error after applying Fix Pack 1.2 (0x8131581)

Hi,

I've just applied the Fix Pack 1.2 to my test BOE XI 3.1 installation and am now unable to run InfoView (CMC is ok). The error reported in the InfoView session is:

Server Application Unavailable The web application you are attempting to access on this web server is currently unavailable. Please hit the "Refresh" button in your web browser to retry your request. Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific request failure can be found in the application event log of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.

and the corresponding event log message is:

Failed to execute request because the App-Domain could not be created. Error 0x80131501

Although I can find references to this error on the web I wanted to check if this was an expected outcome of applying the patch and if there was an approved way to remedy the problem. I've searched both the SAP Support site and this forum for the error message and number but have had no matching results.

Question: Is this a known issue and is there a known resolution?
