Total actual costs for a project

Hi,

I need to get total actual cost for a project, ideally broken up by WBS (not mandatory), for given period (ie. between 01/01/2009 and 15/02/2009). Something like CJI3 or S_ALR_87013543, but I don't need a dialog report, I need to get the values and use them in a custom function module or custom report.

The overall purpose is to create a statistical key based on these values for all (open) projects.

Can anyone help me? I have searched for whole day, but didn't find anything suitable. Otherwise, if someone could adwise me, how the values are being calculated by CJI3 for example, I would appreciate it greatly as well.

Thanks in advance.

Tomas

    • Hi,

yeah I gave it a look. It seems that the value I need is the last entry for given OBJNR. But I admit that I don't really understand how the entries are appended to the table.

Also, I tried runnig a trace using ST05 (as suggested in some threads I was looking at), and found out it's looking in the table COVP.

Also, some values from the CJI3 ouput are found in COEP, but not all. I'm kinda confused.

Could you give me please some more suggestions, or overview of how the tables cooperated together?

      Thanks a lot.

      Regards,

      Tomas

    Hi,

Try COSP with value type = 4 - for actual postings.

    Kind regards, Aleksandra

COSP only provides the primary costs posted to the object. RPSCO gives you all the costs. Try to input WRTTP=4 (for actual) and object number. The data here is stored by value type (WRTTP), value category(ACPOS) and year (GJAHR) for each project object. However, one thing to note is that it only shows what is posted on the object - no roll-up in the hierarchy.

    Hi,

I have finally solved this problem using selects from the table COVP with WRTTP IN ('04', '11'). Basically I tracked down which tables got used by running ST05 trace, as suggested in some previous threads on this topic. Anyway, thanks all for answers, they were rewarded.

    Regards,
