IBM iSeries / SAP PI 7.1 installation error - NIECONN_REFUSED

Hi there,

We are trying to do s fresh install on SAP PI 7.1 on an iSeries 6.1 machine. All is going 100% fine until it reaches the time when it wants to START the Java service / instance.

It brings up an error saying "NIECONN_REFUSED". The installation is obvioulsy trying to use a certain PORT when attempting the start the Java instance but this is failing.

The PORT is the "NI_HTTP" port in the error log.

Has anyone had this error before when trying to install SAP PI 7.1 on an iSeries machine?

Any help in this regard would be HUGELY appreciated, it is serioulsy holding up things on this end.

I dont have any experience in installation of PI 7.1 on an iSeries but just wanted you to check this link... may be it will be helpful to you...

If the Enqueue Server is not started or not reachable, the following message appears when you execute the enqt program:

*** ERROR => EncNiConnect: unable to connect (NIECONN_REFUSED) [encomi.c 444]
