Hi,

Suppose I have 5 storage types in Warehouse.

Now I run LP21 for warehouse replenishment.

1. How system understands the requirements in each storage type?

2. If system gives requirement, then form where iwill replenish the required quanitities? Is there any connection of TR generated to MRP?

Pls explain.

Thanks

Hi,

1. When you run LP21 SAP consideres the data maintained in your material master (min qty, max. qty, replenishemnt qty).- but it only creates a TR. Processing the TR you get the TO and during TO creation SAP will check your settings (e.g. storage type search) from where to get the replenishment.

2. In case of "release order parts" you can consider the whole stock situation (stock level, open PrdOrds relevant for the fixed bin) - but SAP certainly won't consider "MRP". MRP has nothing to do with WM-PP interface.

You get an overview of all the production orders that have been released, the stock situation of the material in the production storage bin, and the stock situation of the material in the WM-managed warehouse, from which the staging quantities are removed.

(You can use transaction LP12.)

form where iwill replenish the required quanitities

It is defined in your search strategy (or in material master you can aslo define fixed bin from where SAP removes the stock to move it to fixed production bin).

Hi, usually the material you have to replenish has fixed storage bin assigned in Warehouse Management 2 view. There you also assign minimum and maximum quantity that you have to keep for the material in this bin. If the stock in the bin goes bellow the minimum stock quantity, you can create replenishment proposal. So the system understands the requirement based on the settings in WM2 view and the current stock situation in the bin.

From where to replenish generally depends from the storage type search. It is configured in table V_T334T.

There is no link between transfer requirements and MRP u2013 TR is on warehouse management level and MRP is on Inventory management level, however in both you can define minimum and maximum quantities u2013 on wm level for stock in the bin, and on IM level for stock in the plant
