Hi,
I am new to WM.
1.Can anyone pls tell me ,what is fixed bin?
2.Fixed bins are only used in Leam Warehouse ?
Thanks,
A fixed bin is a physical place to store a certain material. and this material should not be stored anywhere else.
Fixed bin is a standard warehouse strategy and not only used in Lean warehouses.

2.Why business require this concept?
3.Thru which t code we can created fixed bins?
4.Is there any t code to see the number of fixed bins for a particular storage type?
5. By seeing a bin number how I can differentiate whether this a fixed bin or normal bin?
Pls advise.

Hi,
1. Yes. Settings in material master defines whether a bin is fixed bin.
2. There might be various reasons behind it. E.g. you dedicate one storage bin for each material and you always place them to those bins, or you store small, cheap parts in a bin in production area.
3. MM02 > plant, WH ,storage type level > define the bin in WM2 view.
4. SE16+MLGT > MLGT-LGPLA
5.See point 4.

Csaba
