How to delete position in SAP SRM

Hi SRM Guru's,

I have a scenario, where in I need to delete the position in SAP SRM Org Structure. System is not allowing me to delete it manually. Basically I have

US ABC is link with position "S 50037712",S 50055813. I need to delete this position.

Could you suggest on the same.

Hi,

First you should search for the user in PPOMA_BBP where the position is assigned, then right click on the position and delete the assignment.

After the assignment is deleted you should search for the position and if the assignment is deleted you should be able to delete it.

If it is not working, please copy here the exact error message you get when you try to delete the position after these steps.

Hi,

The suggestion from Daniel is correct for position deletion. First you have to delete the assignment and then delete the object.

But please note that this deletion action should be very cautious, since if the user has open documents, all these documents could not be edited after it is deleted.
