Below is the scenario:
The current environment of PRD:
ECC 6.0 EHP5
Database: Ms Sql 2008 R2 sp2
OS : Windows 2008 r2
OS/DB needs to migrated to :
1) MS sql 2012 r2 / Windows server 2012 r2.
Now the CUA (Central client) is in the PRD (777) client.
What steps we have to do to turn off CUA and then once the os / db migration has completed we can activate CUA again ?
Also, I plan to do the OS/DB migration as below:
1) The customer has the new OS ready which is going to be 2012.
2) I plan to install ECC 6.0 EHP5 / blank sql server 2012 DB.
3) This step is where I am confused should use the SWPM system copy tool to use the PRD sql backup to build the system which will basically overwrite the existing blank DB or is there another way to moving the DB from the sql server 2008 r2 to sql server 2012 ?
