SPDD/SPAU adjustment in EHP3 upgrade

hi

we are installing Ehp3 for ERP6.0 SR3 using Saint in Background mode.

(its giving timeout error in foreground execution)

we want to know when SPDD/SPAU adjustment has to be done during SAINT execution. because during

background execution we will not be able see the screen asking input for Modification.

Any suggestion please.

SPDD_SPAU_CHECK 
In this step, the system checks if a modification adjustment is necessary (Transactions SPDD/SPAU). To avoid popup you can make adjustments at the Intial stages also.

Could you please elaborate how we can make adjustment at initial stages?. Because during SPDD_SPAU_CHECK phase it gives us Time out Shortdump.So we reexecuted in background but no Popup check message(modification adjustment) appears.

During background execution, we got Error "Add on installation terminated during phase DDIC_ACTIVATION". By following note "1267183" we continued executing "IMPORT2" at background. finally the SAINT gets completed successfully.

Can you please specifiy which initial stages we can make adjustments and how?

In run SPAU/SPDD phase it will propmts you to run the modifications. You can skip this and continue. 
After completion the installation then you can run the SPAU and SPDD for modification adjustments.

Is it a correct way to do SPDD/SPAU Modification after the EHP3 installation for Customer system.(if so after Framework Activation(tr-cd : SFW5)?)

since my system is fresh system(No modification exists) and we executed installation in background, do you think, we did not recieve any prompt regarding modification adjustment?

please suggest me

Hi Thirumalai,

Since you are running the process in Background. The system itself pops up a message and says that SPAU/SPDD corrections has to be done. In the phase run SPAU/SPDD.

One more thing is at the initial stage itself we can include the request for modification.

because already 7hrs execution completed and still no message appears..
