Security roles in SNC

Hi

I am working on SNC (Supplier network Collaboration). Can anybody tell me regarding security in SNC?

What are the various roles available to assign? Any link available for the same?

Hi vitthal,

The security of SAP systems depends on the security of the network.Failure of network systems means that you may be loss some important information like personal data,financial data,customers & providers ,intellectual proprietary etc.So we need some protection regarding our valuable data in sap.we want strong authentication for authentication purpose ,we want digital signature for data integrity & proof of origin & encryption for confidentiality purpose.For this encryption we used different methods

A)Asymmetric encryption B)Hybrid encryption

In SAP we used SNC for encryption of data communication.In SNC they use some well known cryptographic algorithms to SAP data for increased protection.

SAP SNC provides togetherness between suppliers ,customers & distributed manufacturing partners.It extends ur internal business application to external business partners with high data protection.Again snc provides end to end collaborative business processes.Again with the help of SNC u r able to provide additional security functions provided by an external product that r not directly available in sap system.The most important feature of SNC is that u can change the security product at any time without affecting the SAP system business applications.

But I talking about roles in Supplier Network Collaboration and not Secure Network Communication which you have mentioned.

For availability of roles your best start will be to look into the roles whose name start with SAP_. If you find roles that seem to suit your needs, copy them to your namespace, finetune the copies and assign them to your users.

Itu2019s a result of mine negligence towards the question.At first sry to all the sdn team.Thanks vitthal for pinpoint my mistake.Now comes to ur question the Supply network collaboration in SAP helps the business a lot.It increase the higher capital productivity,increased customer retention, better end to end value for customers etc.

Its work with the customers ,suppliers & toll manufacturers.About its role towards customers are Inventory,stock consumption and forecast,demand based replenishment ,It checks the ATP(ATP quantity = warehouse stock + planned receipts - planned issues.)For suppliers PO collaboration is done by SNC,ASN & Invoicing is also done by SNC.For toll manufacturers it helps in progree the work order,progress in mile stone.Its update the finished goods.
