Voyager regional settings

Hello,

does anyone know how to view the preferred regional settings in Voyager XI 3.1?

we are working with MSAS cube.

we already set:

- browser (IE) to dutch

- server (and workstation) locale to dutch

- infoview preferred viewing to dutch

- cmc preferred viewing to dutch

but still viewing US formatting (123,456,789.00 instead of 123.456.789,00) in the Voyager workspace.

Voyager does not support the preferred viewing locale, except for SAP which allows the language to be passed as part of the connection. Instead Voyager honours the data as defined on the OLAP server.

(Aside: At the time to talked to several European customers about this and we were told this was not a problem as they used to either 1,234,567.89 or 1.234.567,89)

I have not tried this but one option to explore is changing the language of your MSAS server.

1) Open MS SQL Server Management Studio and connect to your Analysis Services server.

2) Righ-click on the server and choose Properties

3) Select the "Language/Collation" page

4) Change the Language to Dutch

5) Restart your server.

We are going to try the MSAS language setting option you mentioned.
