Product cost planning

Hi Gurus

I have configured the product cost planning. But when I run the cost estimate I found only the material cost. There was no labour and overhead cost. I have defined a costing sheet will all percentages but I can't view the costing sheet in the valuation tab of the material cost estimate. Could anyone tell me if there is any assignment that I had not done or if there is any other configuration that I have to do.

Hi,

Please check whether the costing sheet is assigned in the Valuation Variant for the Plant.

Please also check the Costing Variant thoroughly in OKKN, whether all the parameters

are complete. Next check the cost component Structure in OKTZ whether all the cost

elements are allocated for different heads. Check in the Period End Closing > Settlement >

Settlement Rule & AllocationStructure is defined in Cost Object Controlling.

If you have further queries, please revert back.

Hi

In case of Activities cost, Pls chk that the Plan Activity Price exists (KSBT).

Chk, wheter the "Costing Relevancy" indicator is taken in Operations (Routings)

Hi

Please check the following settings:

In Case of Costing Sheet:

1. Make sure that the Costing sheet is assigned in the Costing Variant (Valuation Variant)

2. Make sure that the base cost elemetns that you have defined in the Costing Sheet are correct.

3. Make sure that the validity period of the overheads rates is OK

4. Ensure that the Overhead Rate defined are assigned to respective controlling area

5. Make sure that the Overhead type 2 (planning OH) is defined

6. Make sure that the "Credits" are duly defined in the costing sheet

In Case of Activity rates:

1. Make sure that the validity periods for Routing is fine.

2. Make sure that the Activity Rates defined in KP26 are fine and are valid for the intended period

ALSO make sure that all these cost elements are duly assigned to a cost component in Cost Component Structure in OKTZ T.Code

Please let me know if you could not able to solve the problem with the help of the above indications

Hi,

Many thanks for your kind replies. I have checked and found all settings. Now it is calculating the overhead. But it is not calculating for internal activity.

Hi Sangram,

1. Did you check the settings in Routing. sometimes, the period of validity of routing could be an issue.

2. Please check the activity prices defined in KP26.

3. By now i am sure you would have checked the assignment of cost elements (Secondary Cost Elements with Category 43) in Cost Component Structure. If not please check that as well

Ideally with this it should work correctly.
