MDM Console Repository locked invalid user credentials

When creating a new repository or unarchiving a repository, the process seems to be sucessfull, however the repository is in a locked state ( repository displayed in the list with a lock icon)

When trying to open the repository I'm getting invalid user credentials error despite the fact that i'm using the user and password used to create the repository.

The repository is also listed in the mds.ini file with the correct user but password encrypted.

Any body had the same problem?

Hi

The username n password used to create n unarchive repository is of database.To logon to repository you have repository users.Try username=Admin and password =Blank.If u want u can change the password after login -Go to Users table-select particular user-change and save password

Hi,

In MDM username and password both are case sensitive. Every new repository has Admin user with blank password as a built-in account.

Thanks for all your reply's. This seems to be an undocumented feature of the MDM repositories, at least I could not find it in any documentation.

Hi all,

my experience on SP08 the password for username Admin is sapmdm you can try it with it.

Hi Raf ,

As of MDM SP05 version onwards we have the option of security after creating an MDM rep.

So only a valid user can connect to a rep to work on it.

The first time you create a rep use the default login credentials to connect ie

Username: Admin

Pwd: <Blank>

Take note of the case.

Once you have connected to the rep you can go to the users table and create a new user with a new pwd to connect to your rep from henceforth.

Hi Raf,

Please try User Name= Admin and Password=Blank (leave the password text box blank, don't give the password).
