Creation of Planned Order via MRP for a single Sales Order Line Item?

Hi All,

Is there a way to create a one to one relation between Planned Order and Sales order without using MTO strategy 20?

Right now we are using planning with final assembly strategy 40 and if there are multiple sales orders, after MRP run the system generates Planned order having multiple sales order present in the pegged requirements. Is there any config available using which the MRP will generate planned order individually against individual sales order line item?

What is the business rationale behind that requirement? If you really need 1:1 relation between demand and supply would you be better off with MTO process?
