Vendor Master - Restrict Change of fields

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to grey out certain fields in vendor master so that they cannot be changed?

While using FK02 or XK02, I want certain fields to be greyed out so users cannot change.

And is it possible to develop a new transaction code using which the greyed out fields can be changed by a select set of users.

Hi Srikant,

You can use the functionality of Field Status Variant/Posting keys to make the field suppressed. Other option is creation of a Validation through GGB0.

try to go to SHD0 for the field. you can make it visiblw invisible in that by creating a variant.

screen layout per activity (vendors),

there u can select field status(per activity create/change/display) as per ur /client requirement.

But my question is i can make some fields for only display.

But I want to give the authorization to certain users so that they can change these fields.only a select few users.

how can this be done.
