We are implementing ESS for our client and are struck with a problem.
We have leave screen in Portal, link to which exists both at top level navigation and the ESS overview page. this screen has 3 links: apply leave, approve leave, and holiday calender. we require to hide approve leave for some people. As a solution I made a different role called "approve leave role" and copied the overview workset(with all children) and the Leave workset from the original role as different copies.
with the help of ctrl+click i hide the approve leave tab from the standard role leave workset and let it persist in the "approve leave role". now i defined merging of tabs when the user has both the roles...
Now when the user has both roles and clicks from Leave from top level navigation , he sees 3 tabs while having original role he sees 2 tabs..mission accomplished.
but the problem comes when he comes through the ess overview page...
here since the overview page internally knows just the link of the original Leave page it is taking us to Ess role leave page regardless of which overview page is displayed(from role A or B)..
Any inputs on how we can resolve this...I want my copied overview page to point to my copied Leave page instead of the original Leave page... DO I need to get it done from backend ESS if yes how?
