Hi Gurus,

I have a doubt for installing ECC 5 IDES on Windows with Oracle as Database.

I have been into SMP and followed the path below to download the required data.

Installations and Upgrades-->" SAP Application Components" -->SAP ERP" > SAP ERP 2004>

IDES Version--> Windows Server --> Oracle.

And here i see a lot of files.

I am confused what all files do i need to download for the EXPORTS.

Do i need to download all the files with name 51031332 (there are 21 of them)?

Please help me.. I am struck at ths point.

Thanks in Regards,

Sachin.

After we download all the export .rar files to our harddisk...just go to the first .rar file (51031332_part01 in the case of EC 5 Win Ora)) in the set of 21 ( in the case of ECC 5 Win Ora) and run it, this will get all the files from all he remaining 20 .rar into the target directory.

Read the master guide at

http://service.sap.com/instguides

Depending on which scenario you want to run you need a different amount of CDs/DVDs.

OK, I checked,

yes, you need all 21 of them because they are on CD format (about 650MB each).

so, unless you want to download all of them, you might prefer ordering it!

Thanks for the response Eric.

I have downloaded all of them and now i am getting one more doubt at this point.

Do i need to extract each and every 21 exports (.rar format)...... ..when i am extracting all the exports the total capacity it is occupying is more than 200 GB in my harddisk. . Please help me in this regard.

Thanks in Advance.

I'm with Subhash on this one. this will not table 20GB after being uncompressed.

Note that you have no choice but to uncompress these RAR files befacsue SAP installation module cannot read RAR files.
