RFC Communication Error

Hi. Guys.

We are facing some short dump problem when we try to test the Extractor. As we

try to check the extractor in RSA3, we are getting this type of error.

RFC communication error- Dest: KFP600ALE Object: TIMEDATA Function: CBHR_PTHR_PTIMEDATA_READ Output: RFC destination KFP600ALE does not exist.

Message no. EHSBM_EHS_GENERAL102

Diagnosis

An RFC communication error occurred accessing the integration object TIMEDATA.

External system (RFC destination): KFP600ALE

Interface function: CBHR_PTHR_PTIMEDATA_READ

RFC output: RFC destination KFP600ALE does not exist.

Guys, Can you share some information what exactly this RFC Communication error.

Have you ever come across this issue.

I hope you are testing the RSA3 in source system .

In RSA3, you can just enter the Data source name . do not enter anything in target sys field.

You should be able to test the DS.

I have done like as you said. But still it showing RFC Communication Error. I don't know

why it is.

Again I am showing the error when I test Extractor in RSA3.

RFC Destination KFP600ALE does not exist.

I have already checked the object KFP600ALE in SM59. It was not there. I don't know

How to create. I am waiting for your valuable answers.

Arun,

Dont give the RFC destination in the RSA3 t. code just give the data source and run.

Hi,

Check with your Basis Team, there is no RFC connection between Source and BW system.An dtake the help of the following document.

This is just because of RFC conenction problem only.

Check in SM59 in both source and destination systems, in the both way the login is working or not.
