Connecting CE to PI ESR

Hi,

we have instelled a PI 7.1 and CE independently from each other and each component has its own ESR. In order to use one ESR, we would like to connect CE to the ESR of PI. Has somebody a description/ How to .. document that describes this in detail?

thanks for the links, this helps for a start. Still this is a rather high level view on this topic. What I am looking for are descriptions of detailed configuration steps to assign PI ESR also to CE. Any help appreciated.
