Connection b/w BO data Integrator and SAP server

We are trying to connect the SAPGUI and BODI. The following error is comming while trying to set up the connection - BODI-1111328... which was somewhat : Not able to establish connection to SAP server.

Request you all to reply with the steps to get the two connected and working in sync.
