Customer Hierarchy in MDG

Hello All,

we are looking at the topic of Customer Hierarchies and the Harmonization in MDG from multiple ERP environments. We are looking for best practice material or advice available on this topic.

• What is the best approach to harmonize customer hierarchies from multiple ERP environments?
• What are the limitations for harmonization?
• Standard MDG doesnt support customer hierarchy. How to implement customer hierarchy in MDG?

Hello Sekhar,

MDG doesnt support customer hierachies. Harmonization of hierarchies is not possible, so.

However, we built a customer entity to include attributes for hierarchy such as assignment to hierarchy, hierarchy type, parent customer, etc. and saved the data in table KNVH , followed by updation of KNA1 with assignment to hierarchy. To move the data to satellite systems, user exit updated the segment of KNA1 and the hierarchy was moved across from MDG.
