hello team,
please explain me the troubleshooting of transports when the import hangs? and how we imoprt a request from an external system to the system in the landscape?
Pavan
Check logfiles in /usr/sap/trans/tmp and /usr/sap/trans/log.
An external entry can be added by copying cofile (K.<SID>) to the cofiles directory and data (R.<SID>) to the data directory and using STMS to "Extras - Other requests - Add" to your queue.

hi
Summary of transport request can be found in this folder (/usr/sap/trans/log). There are 2 files - ALOGXXXX. & SLOGXXXX.. 'XXXX' indicate year & month respectively. The ULOG files shows the summary of the transport for the system lanscape
Note 43391 Documentation for the log file ALOG
- Note 43404 Documentation of the log file SLOG
