Deployment Exception in WebDynpro

Hello SAP Experts!

We have SAP R/3 Server and few Webdynpro consultants working on their client machines where NWDS is installed. When they try to deploy their applications, they get the follwong error:

"Feb 10, 2009 12:41:42 AM /userOut/deploy (com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.threading.DeployThreadManager) [Thread[Deploy Thread,5,main]] ERROR:

[012]Deployment aborted

Settings

SDM host : xxx

SDM port : xxx

URL to deploy : file:/C:/DOCUME1/ADMINI1/LOCALS~1/Temp/temp21902CashVotcherMedical.ear

Deployment exception : Server xxx did not accept login request as apiadmin on port xxx - Cannot log in. There are already active sessions:

Session id 5 / An administrator logged in via API /

Inner exception was :

Server xxx did not accept login request as apiadmin on port 50018 - Cannot log in. There are already active sessions:

Session id 5 / An administrator logged in via API / "

Can someone help me out. Consultants are waiting to work

Thanks & Regards

Vanitha

    Hi,

*"There are already active sessions"* this is because of two or more users were trying to deploy application at same time. Try with one user at a time.

    Hope this may help u.

    • Hello vani,

Ya we too face the same problem when we are in the development stage i had 5 devlopers. As we discussed with sap there is no such option for multiple deploying. Better u can raise OSS message and conform as of now , because we discussed sap in 2007..

One thing vani, where are the developer are siting each one together or different location. And your message u told u installed NWDI in developer system am i right y is it and what for ?

Better way is developer should get discuss one together before start deploying...

      Hope u understand.

      Regards

Thank you John and MLN. The issue is solved.

There is no need to restart the server or the J2EE engine in the server. If we restart the SDM which is located in the NWDS application, it kills only the session that is active. And then it will allow successful deployment. The time taken for the SDM to restart is in between 5 to 10 seconds. We tried it many times. And it is working absolutely perfect.

    Regards
