Hi all,

01.Whether its possible to block a plant?

02.If blocked, whether all activities that are customized to that plant will take place?

03.And finally, whether its possible to reuse the plant after some time asusual?

There is nothing like blocking the plant. You can delink it from Purchase Organization and company code to which it is attached to. Also you can remove valuation grouping code assignment from plant.

However, before doing it, please ensure that you do not want to do any postings in that palnt.

1. Remove the valuation area - company code- valuation grouping code link for the plant

2. Remove plant - company code assignment.

You cannot post the transactions to this plant then. If you require, you can link them in future.

Hi Karthick,

I think If you remove the authorization for movements in this plant u can achive your object...

give authorisation when u need to use the plant.

Hi,

We can not block a plant. But if we wish to block all material and financial entries, just go ahead and block the profit / cost centers. It is far easier solution and serves the purpose.
