About SAP Jobs

Hi Experts,

There are 8 business jobs in our ECC PRD.

They run once everyday from 10:00pm to 11:00pm.

For system migration purpose,

I have to suspend all the released jobs via BTCTRNS1 at 7:00pm on February 10.

After we finished our migration task,

I will restore the suspended jobs via BTCTRNS2 at 12:00am on February 11.

My question :

The 8 business jobs should run on February 10 regularly. After the operation I mentioned above,

Will they be skipped?

OR

The 8 business jobs which should run on February 10 will run on February 11?

The jobs will run twice on February 11?

Hi Jason,

The job will run on Feb11th that too only once. It' ll not run twice. FYI, no job will be running on Feb10th (in between 7:00 pm and 12 AM). Any (new) job that had been scheduled, after 12:00 AM onwards, would run & not the old jobs.

Thank you very much! You let me know more about this.

The point I most concerned is:

The 8 jobs should run on Feb 11th will never run,right? I mean the 8 jobs will skip Feb 10th.

In other words,

The 8 jobs released on Feb 10th will Not run on Feb 11th as a supplement, right?

Hi,

Are all these 8 jobs periodic jobs that are suppose to run daily....?

if yes, then next time on wards(from feb11th 12:00AM on wards) all the jobs that get released newly then on - they get executed respectively.

• one more imp point is that - since you have run BTCTRNS2 at 12:00AM, all the background jobs that were stopped in middle of execution earlier, would continue to execute from the point they were stopped earlier.

Hi Satish,

Yes,All these 8 jobs periodic run everday.

Here below is the real sence:

(a)At 6:am on Feb 11

J1~J8: Status: Released.

(b)At 7:am on Feb 11

Execute: BTCTRNS1

J1~J8: Status: Special Status.(All the jobs were suspended.)

(c)At 12:am on Feb 12

Execute: BTCTRNS2

J1~J8: Status: Relesed. (All the jobs were restored.)

The jobs will not run on Feb 11.

Will the jobs run twice or once on Feb 12?

Skip Feb 11?
