Results Analysis KKA2 question

Hi all:

We are trying to create a report that will provide users with details on the Actual and Plan amounts generated when running KKA2. We are using the Actual cost to Plan cost method and include all postings except those to two accounting indicators (02 and 04). RA should then tie to the line items for a project if we exclude AI 02 and 04.

We find that this isn't always the case however. The issue seems to be that KKA2 looks at master data assignments of subordinate orders and WBS at the time it is run (e.g. now), whereas a Project line item report looks at what was posted historically (.e.g. then).

For example if we ran KKA2 on November 1 for October, we would get a result based on the actual postings and master data assignments as of November 1. The two should be exactly the same.

Now if we make a master data assignment change on December 1 where we change the project defintion on an order and re-run KKA2 for October, the RA won't tie to the line items. This is because the actual postings for October haven't changed, but he RA assignment has changed.

Can you confirm that this is the way RA is supposed to work? Is there a way to tie a line item report to what RA calculates at any point in time?

RA is specific to the period you run for... this is standard behaviour.
