Hi Surya,

1.we can use VL with ECS and can be used as local source of supply.

2.Regarding sourcing functionality : We can define, to send the unsourced shopping carts to sourcing cockpit based on product categery.

In sourcing cockpit buyer will add the shopping cart to his worklist and can assign the vendor directly if he knows and can create purchase order directly from the sourcing cockpit or other wise he can create bid invitation with reference to that shopping cart if he wants to get the sourcing.

after getting the quotes from the bidders he can accept least quote vendor from bid evaluation screen and can create purchase order from the vendor quotation by clicking genrate purchase order.

thanks,

Hi Surya,

Here the path is

SRM-SRM server- Sourcing-Def sourcing for prod cat: Auto creation of bid invitations for items without source of supply.

It means Bid invitations will be created automatically for the unsourced shopping carts having product categeries set this in the configuaration.

After bidding proces Purchase order will be generated with reference to shopping cart in backend or EBP according to implementing scenario either classic or Extended classic scenario.

Hope this will help you surya.

Thanks,

Koushik.

When you create a PO from an accepted bid in extended classic scenario, a PO will be generated in SRM with a read only copy in backend R3 system.

Hope this helps you!
