collective production order

my client have individual production order facilitity,now they want to use collective order facility ,

what will be the advantage & diadvantage ,please explian

Hi

in response to your query i want to let you explain

if you have plenty of assemblies,roh materials in one header material (fert) in mrp 2 view you have to maintain special procurement as 52 for halb material or fert material it will be useful to run production order at header material

if you are going to run production order for Header material the number of assemblies and roh materials get exploded and planned orders are generated for assemblies with procurement type 52 and purchase requisitions will be created for raw materials

this scenario will be help ful for no. of sub assemblies and components
