BI 7 Technical Upgrade: Java Installaion/Configuration

Hi,

We are carrying out technical upgrade from BW 3.5 to BI 7.0. We are using BW Bex and Web Report. Also we are using SEM-BPS and SEM-BCS.

Is it necessary to install and configure JAVA post ABAP upgrade?

Please advise.
