Discount agreements based on previous period sales volumes (SD)

Hi,

We are using discount schemes where discounts depend on sales volume in previous period. This period is fixed (eg by quarter, or by year, never moving like in 'last three months') and the discount applies on new orders only (we give no rebates at the end of a period).

Example

Standard discount is 10% (applies from start of agreement).

• If volume exceeds 1,000 pc over Q1, all orders in Q2 get additional 5% discount;
• if volume exceeds 2,000 pc over Q1, all orders in Q2 get additional 10% discount.

Likewise, the Q3 additional discounts are determined by the Q2 sales volume. And so on...

Any idea on how this can be managed in SAP-SD?

Since your requirement is to give regular discount in the next quarter depending upon the off-take in the previous quarter, you may have to go in with adding the logic in pricing routine
