We are running into a scenario as described by note 2022044 where we are transferring an asset from a company code that maintains parallel values the book area (LC) being ILS and the group area (LC2) being USD.
Our processes require transferring assets back and forth between the 2 entities. We have defined Cross system depreciation areas 01 for Local area and Area 30 for Group values and mapped them accordingly to the respective depreciation areas.
When we transfer assets from the ILS entity to the USD entity using Transfer Variant 1 with Method 4 we run into the scenario as described by note 2022044 resulting in different LC and LC2 values in the transferee entity.
So we applied the fix as prescribed by the note and mapped Cross System Dep area 30 to Area 01 of the USD entity.
Now when we transfer the asset from the ILS entity to the USD entity we get consistent values across LC and LC2 in the USD entity.
However now when we try and transfer an asset from the USD entity to the ILS entity we get an error “Data inconsistency: Area 01 for value takeover is missing”
Long Text
Data inconsistency: Area 01 for value takeover is missing
Message no. AAPO105
Diagnosis
According to its specifications, depreciation area 32 is defined for mandatory takeover of values from depreciation area 01. However, depreciation area 01 is not posted during the current transaction (chart of depreciation 3000). This is not allowed.
Procedure
Check the specifications for the current transaction type.
The question is as to how do we adjust so that we do not get this error when we have to transfer assets back from USD Entity to the ILS entity how do we get rid of the error above.
