Hi Bhanu...

I ma not sure how much this answer will be useful

After creating a DOC type...

Select the doc type and click DEFINE DOCUMENT STATUS

then click new entries

There you enter the Document status ex "AD" and click enter

System will automatically copy the Status Text... its not required for you to enter the doc status text

or

if u want to create a new document status... enter the new two letter status and click new status

then go to define document status description and define the language and enter the text

HI Bhanu

You can define the document status irrespective of the document type in Define document status descriptions. If u have created new statuses while custmzng the document type then the abbrevations will be already present in document statuses then you can define the status thre.

Thanks
