Serial number profiles differ

Hi,

Scenario: we are doing STO between storage locations of one plant to another. The user has to assign serial no. to couple of materials in VL02N after creation of delivery. The problem is, user has assigned serial no of the receiving plant to the material rather entering the supplying plants serial no to the material. (Since there was a problem in valuation class) we had to reverse the delivery, prior to that i removed the EDEL status of the material. Then i executed VL09 to reverse the delivery it is displaying error "Serial number profiles differ"

Diagnosis

You want to carry out a transfer posting for materials with serial number management. However, the serial number profiles of the receiving and issuing points are not identical.

Cancel the current processing step.

Check the serial number profiles in the material master record, if required.

Dear Pavan

The issue is in your material master.

Go to material master MM02, input the material code and check the serial number profile maintained in one plant. I think the view you should select is Plant data/storage2 view.

Same way, you have to check for the other plant also. It should have been the same of above plant. If not, you have to change so as to match the other plant.

Sir,

I have checked the serial no profile for the material at both the plants it remains the same. They have made STO from Plant 1 and STor1 to Plant 2 but they have not mentioned the storage location. Moreover they have mentioned in Valuation Class in PO as "Domestic" but during delivery in VL02N they have mentioned Valuation class "Defective". The Material is in transit, this material is appearing in "Reserved" qty when i ran MMBE Tcode.

When i checked for this material in IQ02 tcode a message is displayed in Status line " Stock control Active for Material(ZXXXXXX) in Plant xxxx.

What should i do?
