Deletion of Budget Data in Funds Management

Hello All,

I would like to delete the transaction data as well as master data in funds management,

I have deleted the transaction data, then when i am trying to delete the master data it is giving the error as "Budget is assigned for cmmtment item in FM area"

How to delete the budget data

Use FMKUDELDATA. By the way, I hope, you are doing this in test system...

Eli while I am deleting, i am getting the follwing error, pls look into this error

The error log contains error messages

1. Error : Control ledger 9H cannot be reset

You are not allowed to delete budget data in version 000

2. Worning : Nothing to delete in The Data Base according to your selection- there data for the selection

Hello Uma,

Please check the note 720306.

Be aware that note 720306 contains only manual changes to implement in your system following the description made in the long text. In addition , this deletion of the active version is done but it is a modification of the standard.

Deleting budget data for the active version could be very dangerous as you do not have any chance to go back to the previous situation.

That is the reason why SAP does not deliver this modification in standard and recommend the use of the archiving instead.

Of course if the goal is to do some tests in your test system then it is less risky even if everything is lost.

SAP rather recommend to archive the data instead of deleting them (except in test system). But it is not possible to archive in the current year, therefore please consider to implement the modification available in the note 720306.
