Is it possible to determine default foreign trade data using Region in tcode VI95

Is it possible to determine Foreign Trade Data using a Country’s Region in tcode ‘VI95’

In transaction ‘VI95’ when searching the listed entries using the 'Position' button, 'Region' is one of the selectable fields. This is great news for me as I would like my default foreign trade data to be different depending on the Region within a given country.

However, when I try to create a new entry on the transaction, there is no option to add Region to the determination. The field is not visible. How do I make an entry to allow default foreign trade data to be determined by specific region?

I’ve also checked table ‘T617’ and there are no entries in our system against ‘Region’. What is the purpose of this field in the table unless I can use it?

If you need defaults based on regions then you have to use enhancement V50EPROP

If you double click an entry in VI95 then you can see that it has no region field in its detail.

The pop-up with regions next to the country that you get by clicking the position button is probably just copied over from a similar object that was on more detailed level. Still this pop-up can be used to position in the list of records. I think no customer has ever bothered seeing a few more options in that pop-up and reporting that for a fix to SAP.
