What if a transport is done from quality system to productive system and the user is in the transaction at this moment. Will this lead to errors?

Hi

It depends on what changes are being transported.

Eg, if you are moving changes for Operating Concern update/configuration, Credit management configuration, New GL activation etc, it is strongly recommended that user should not be logged into the system and background jobs should not be running. However, if you are moving a new report into Production, than in that case, you can move into Production any time

As a best practice, the changes should be scheuled only when the usage load in Production is less or negligible. This would avoid any kind of remediation and also have a better control.

Thanks & Regards

Hi Walter,

I do not think there will be big Impact or any issue if you transport during working hours when user in the same transaction..

Either user might have already accessed the transaction or submitted to system to access the data, using older version of report or old Customizing..

User need to Start the Same Transaction to reflect the changes made to system via transport..

Worst case scenario if any customizing parameter deleted and moved the transport user may get DUMP, we can analyze this in ST22

Good Luck!
