how to download a crystal report to XL format

Hi,

What you meant is exporting Crystal Report data to XL format? Yes you can use the Export Options then select Microsoft Excel.

I could able to follow ur procedure...but where this report is downloaded...how to see this report after downloaded. is there any specific location that all these downloads go to?

Hi Jitendra,

Do you want to see the same crystal report into excel format? If this is the case it is called exporting.

We can export the report to many other formats like PDF, csv etc.

To export to MS Excel

Open the report in the Crystal Report designer.

Click on Export under File menu

Click on Export report

Select the required Excel format

Under destination we have many options like u2018disk fileu2019 or u2018Applicationu2019

Select Disk file and you will be prompted for the save location

If Application is selected report will be exported to excel and exported excel will be opened and you will have to save it separately.

Hi,

You can follow the instruction of Aditya, yes there is a specific location where you can save Excel format but you can decide where you want it to save it, in my case I usually save it to my desktop.

Since Crystal report is already exported to excel then you can open the export file to MS Excel.
